Say It At Your Wedding – Poetry Web Site

Check out the Say It At Your Wedding site, which has poetry for sale! You can be a member and pick a poem written by various contemporary poets for use in your wedding, and there are many other categories of poems available as well, like Christmas, comedy, Valentine’s day, Jewish themes, military, humor and friendship. Even get a poet to write a “special order” poem, just for you! A couple of my poems are in there as well, look up “Summer Becomes You”. It is an interesting concept and I wish them well.

Who are they? The founders are interesting in themselves:

Melissa Andrews: For the past 20 years, Melissa has toiled in the non-profit sector as a Grants Manager, Creative Corporate Solicitor and as a Writer and Editor. She learned her craft while working at Columbia University and has obtained grants for school districts throughout New Jersey. Her knowledge and expertise of finances has helped in setting up Say It At Your Wedding. She is a resident of Manhattan. Her heroes are Teddy Roosevelt and Mark Twain.

Reena Heenan:  She is a playwright known most notably for her long-running, Off-Broadway musical, Kerouac. She owned and operated Village Performers Theatre in the East Village for five years where she produced over 40 plays. She has written four books:

Malevolent Being, a collection of poems and musings;
Grandma’s Grammar a book on the rules of English for children;
Gehenna a novel about New York City night life in the late 50s and 60s; and
Stories To Read On A Plane a book of perfect short stories to read while traveling.

She is also Director of Travelling Poets Society, which runs a series of readings by new and established poets. She resides in New York City.
