Short Poems H – N

HARD HATS

Yellow slickered men
Dig holes as it rains watched by
The suits up above.

——————————-

HOW BAD CAN IT BE?

How bad can it be?
A firefly fell into
The lake, in the night!

——————————

MICE BEFORE CATS CROSSING

The Walk Signs
And the Stop Lights
Work well in New York
Where people Yield
Then Proceed
Like Mice before
Cats crossing.

——————————–

NONE THE LESS

Winter chills, you drop
Your leaves, naked and thorny,
A rose nonetheless.
