I love the sunrise in the Fall
Rising late in cool dawn
Sending rays that warm my skin
And shine through stained glass leaves
Of ruby red and amber gold
With long young shadows shortening.
I love the sunset after all
As each day ends with shadows long
That point eastward and once again
The sky turns turquoise and then black,
With a full moon reflecting back
Sunshine that still warms and lights
Beyond the shadow of Tonight.
